Farah L. Emeka

Farah L. Emeka obtained her undergraduate degree from Oberlin College in 1997 and her law degree, cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law in 2001.  Mrs. Emeka has been admitted to practice before the Ohio Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.  She is a member of the Lorain County Bar Association.

Mrs. Emeka worked as a child support enforcement prosecutor for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office where she received the 2014 Pillar of Justice Award and a promotion to management in 2015. She started her legal career as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney handling criminal misdemeanor and support enforcement cases for the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office in Tacoma, WA.

Mrs. Emeka joined Fauver in 2018.  Her current practice includes civil litigation with a focus on business and real estate matters.  She also represents clients in domestic relations matters, including post decree motions.

Mrs. Emeka is also the Prosecutor for the City of Oberlin, where she resides with her husband Justin and her two sons, King and Jabir.

Mrs. Emeka has been very active in the community through board service for organizations like the Lorain County Urban League and Oberlin Street Law.  Currently, she is a member of the Board of Directors for the Oberlin Community Youth Scholarship Fund, Oberlin Community Services, and Oberlin Early Childhood Center. Farah is a professional dancer with the Cleveland-based West African dance company Djapo Cultural Arts Institute, which focuses on cultural awareness and education.
